Day 30–31: One Month Later — A Pause, A Promise

Day 30–31: One Month Later — A Pause, A Promise

I can’t believe a full month has gone by already. When I started this journey, I truly thought I’d have my first sale by now. I had a little momentum going — regular uploads, a couple of Etsy listings, even some YouTube Shorts — but once we hit the road for our family vacation, things inevitably slowed down.

That being said, I still showed up — maybe not every day, but enough to keep the spark alive. I managed to publish more nursery wall art and sneak in a few videos, even while juggling sunshine, snacks, and sandcastles. Still no sale. And yet... I’m not giving up.

This month taught me that consistency looks different in different seasons. Right now, we’re in recharge mode. The kids are laughing in a second language, we’re bonding over slow mornings and new places, and there’s a rhythm to this slower pace that’s grounding. It’s not wasted time — it’s fuel for what comes next.

Once we’re back and daycare resumes, I plan to go full-time with this dream. I want to dive into healthy cooking again, prep family meals ahead, and lace up my shoes for those energizing morning runs I’ve been missing. Movement always clears my mind.

I’m also feeling a nudge to create something useful for back to school. I used to sell planners on KDP — maybe it’s time to refresh that idea. I can’t access my KDP account from here (annoying!), but I can definitely sketch out ideas and prep for a mid-August launch.

The results may be slow, but the learning? Constant. And when we get home, I’ll be ready to give this my full focus — fueled by intention, and a little bit of sunshine.

What about you? How is summer going so far?
