Day 20–21: Travel, Tiredness, and Tiny Setbacks
Share
Sorry I missed yesterday!
I was in full-on survival mode—wrapping up packing, managing the final travel details, and then enduring a 24-hour journey with kids.
(Yes, 24 hours. With little ones. And way too much luggage.)
My back is definitely paying the price. Between carrying children, strollers, backpacks, and snacks (always the snacks), I feel like I ran a marathon while doing squats the whole way.
But—we made it.
We arrived safely, and despite the exhaustion, there’s joy. The kids are thrilled, the sun is shining, and there’s this huge exhale in the air. Even in the chaos, being in a new place gives everything a fresh lens.
While I was catching my breath, I received an email from Amazon KDP. Apparently, I need to adjust the sizes on a few pages of the coloring book—some elements weren’t within the print-safe margins.
That’s the kind of detail that can delay a launch, but thankfully, it’s fixable. I’ll reformat everything, double-check the bleed and trim areas, and submit the files again ASAP so I can finally hit publish.
It’s funny—these moments feel small on the surface (a flight, a formatting fix), but they represent so much behind the scenes: energy, effort, dedication, and the why that keeps pulling me forward.
This coloring book will be out soon. I’m so close.
Thanks for sticking with me through the messy middle. ✨
Even when life is heavy (literally and figuratively), progress—however imperfect—is still progress.
